The Real Story: James Bond (2009)

*** (out of 4)

The Real Story is an interesting series that takes a look at popular Hollywood movies and then discusses the real events that led to them.

This is a pretty strong episode in the series, which takes a look at the James Bond character and how he was sent on all of his adventures. We get a very good bio of author Ian Fleming and then we hear about certain events that might have influenced him and helped build the Bond character. If you're a fan of James Bond then I'm sure most of the stuff you're going to learn here is stuff you already know. With that said, if you aren't too familiar with Fleming then there are some nice stories here including him battling his own demons and the stress that writing these Bond stories had on him.
