- There are a couple of fist fight scenes in the show. One of the fights takes place at a party where two male characters are drunk and arguing. A girl runs over to stop the fight and ends up getting hit before one of the male characters also gets hit. Both are shown with red marks on their face. The other fight scene happens between two brothers closer to the end of the season during an upsetting argument.
- Belly's friend struggles with suicidal urges, causes a seemingly intentional car crash with Belly in the backseat. Belly deals with some verbal bullying from popular girls in school.

- Over the course of the season, we learn one of the main characters is very ill and will most likely die. The effects of this situation cause the characters around her tremendous grief and anxiety over the situation because she is a beloved member of the family. The context of this situation could be upsetting for viewers, especially those who have been through similar situations.
- Conrad suffers from an anxiety attack later in the show. Can be a very intense scene, especially from those who have had them before.
- Susannah's death takes a severe emotional toll on all of the characters. Many characters suffer from anxiety, depression, and are dealing with grief.
