Larry Mullen Jr.,
After five years in prison for grand theft auto, Vince returns to Toronto. Kranski, his old boss, insists that he repay a large debt (money lost in his arrest) by boosting cars. His cover is a mechanic's job at Kranski's garage. In his spare time, Vince welds pieces of scrap metal into sculptures; a trendy gallery owner spots one and sells it for thousands and commissions more. Art might be Vince's ticket out if he can get Kranski off his back. Meanwhile, Vince's prolix parole officer is circling, and Kristen, the gallery owner's assistant, beguiles Vince.Written by
Two pairs of socks, that's the key.
Key to what?
The key to staying fresh and feeling good, ya know. What you do is you keep an extra pair of socks in your pocket, one in your lunch pale, around 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon you slap those bad boys on, bam, you fell like a million bucks.
I'll have to remember that.

Recently released con plans another Caper
I was surprised to see only four reviews for this film, as of today, almost three years after the release. I have always loved films by Donald Sutherland. Vince (Rossif Sutherland) is fresh out of the joint, and is told by his parole officer to keep his nose clean. Dad Sutherland plays John Kranski, the local crime boss, and wants Vince back on his team. Meanwhile, a local art critic high-jacks one of his pieces of welded metal, and Vince is accidentally "discovered" as an artist. Along the way, he also has to decide which one of the chicks throwing themselves at him is the one he wants. SO many decisions! Looks like this one made the rounds at some film festivals. The script and the acting are a little uneven, but it's entertaining. Vince's crime-buddies (co-workers ?) are always cracking jokes that usually fall flat. Directed by Risa Garcia.
