Will excite and entice you but to some it will be great but for others it will fall short... of the expectations you have while watching such films
4 August 2017 | by the_movie_addictSee all my reviews

Watching this whodunit lock-room murder mystery after this much time when it was made back in 2010 is not just shameful for me (or for those who have watched it and no one from them, has ever reviewed this film before on IMDb) but also for the producer, director and the writer Sareesh Sudhakaran who, i think hasn't advertised much about this film to people and as a result, i have to watch it now in 2017 but good thing is that i didn't came across this film like straying but on the recommendation of Sareesh Sudhakaran himself, whom i follow on his blog and channel wolfcrow where he tells about the films, movies (which is far way more less than) and camera and the process of film-making when he tells about one of his camera and mentions his feature debut film.

Now, coming to the film, I think could go and leave this here incomplete itself since i am having mixed feelings about the film i have watched where i might be applauding his craft, i am also vary and wary of the way he used to bring this delightful story genre tale that excites all all the time.

The story is about how an old lady named Maria dies/gets killed under mysterious circumstances within a locked room and how other people involved with that lady and with that house/place are interrogated by the cops, media and the the investigator/narrator.

Now the highlighting points, which i believe will bring some awkwardness and some delightful-ness that are actually worth noticing in the film are - "WHY WAS THE FORENSIC REPORT NOT STUDIED PROPERLY BEFORE WE SEE THE INVESTIGATOR DOING HIMSELF?" - "ON WHAT CHARGES AND EVIDENCES WAS THE GIRL ARRESTED?" - "WHY DID THE COPS PUSHED ONE OF THE MASON ON THE GROUND NEAR THE DEAD BODY?" - "WHY DIDN'T THE COP NOTICED THE CHANGES IN THE MURDER SCENE AFTERWARDS?" - "WHY WERE THE CAUSES TO MURDER MARIA WERE LESS AND IGNORE-ABLE AND DIDN'T WORK TO SUM UP TO ITS KILLER?"

But keeping all this aside so that you'll view the film on YT by typing film's name and not rely on this sole review in 7 years, I think Sareesh has done great job in tackling this type of story which is done only by rare people without bestowing it to melodramatic and cheesy roads and now at last, I am awaiting for his next film which will decide that whether or not, he has the art and craft of storytelling with filmmaking or it was all just a fluke.
