The plot of the first episode has many similarities to the movie Starman (1984). For example, the spacecraft crashing in a remote area, the 'alien' (male) transforming into a more acceptable human form, the female helper/driver, the stilted language, the urgent need for a rendezvous in the remote western desert, the interaction with guns, and so on.

Goofs
The coordinates "28.096169 degrees North, minus 95.047623 degrees West." point to a location in the gulf of Mexico, and not to "Shiprock" as Justin claims. which is in new Mexico at approximately 36.7979833 North, -108.71468,17 West.

Good starter.

Reading this is a sequel as reference is made to the original.

But what is a PhD from MIT working For daily cash in a hazardous reclamation area???

First episode is a two person show in the desert.

The woman's actions are not believable and distracts from the tale they're trying to tell.
