  • A preteen boy kisses a teen girl and she kisses him back.
  • It is implied that one of the kids was abused by her father.

  • Rumors are mentioned a few times about a girl being a jerk.
  • A boy tauntingly grabs his crotch but foruntately He Had To find the Rock In The Edited Version.

Violence & Gore

  • We see several sheep being killed with a bolt gun. also the clown is there
  • The monster is hit in the face by a poker. His face is distorted and somewhat grotesque. He then turns his face and hits a boy in the abdomen (this part is not really seen).
  • Pennywise is shown nibbling on and waving a child's arm. No blood is seen.
  • A 13 year old child's stomach is clawed showing some claw marks.
  • The characters open a door and see the upper half of a body hanging in a room. It is very graphic and pretty terrifying
  • A girl is in the bathroom when she hears a voice from the sink, seconds later blood shoots up out the sink getting everywhere

  • A 13 year old child is bullied by older children, who cut the letter 'H' into the kids stomach with a switchblade. (Out of focus)

  • From pluggedin.com: "The f-word is used about 40 times. The s-word is uttered nearly 25 times. God's name is misused twice, Jesus' name three times. We also hear "a--," "d--n," "h---," "t-ts" and "f-g."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A Girl Or Even a Boy, assumed to be less than 13 or 1 steals cigarettes and later used. One Of The Kid Or One Of The Person is briefly Not showing Smoking Cigarettes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Pennywise distorts himself and moves in unnatural ways. Some of this is quite comical, however.
  • The end of the climactic fight scene is very heartbreaking and bittersweet.
  • There Is A Scene Where Pennywise's mouth and hand is ripped open showing Mantis or Werewolf like skin
  • BBFC/UK - Rated 15 (strong horror, violence, language).
  • Bill's main priority throughout the movie is that he'll find Georgie alive and well, despite both his father and Richie telling him otherwise, many scenes involving this can be emotional.
  • Suggested MPAA re-rating: Rated R-Violence/Horror, Bloody Images and For Language.
  • In reality. There's only about 30 minutes of onscreen violence in the 135 minute run-time. Which isn't a whole lot. At the same time, the movie is a psychological horror. So if you're not afraid of any of the things that the characters are afraid of. You're not going to be very scared while you watch this if at all.

Sex & Nudity

  • It's implied that a father is molesting his daughter. He attacks her at one point, grabbing her by the ankles. She escapes.
  • Fours of the boys and Beverly stand in their underwear on a cliff to dive into water; the boys wear only briefs, Beverly wears a bra that shows cleavage, with underwear.

Violence & Gore

  • Georgie reaches into the sewer for his paper boat, Pennywise opens a slobbering mouth with five rows of sharp teeth, biting his arm off (No injury detail seen); the boy tries to crawl away, but is pulled into the sewer.
  • Beverly hides in her bathroom from her father who tried to rape her, and she hits him on the head with the toilet tank lid (he is seen lying in a large pool of blood later.)
  • Pennywise has a pole hit in his head; his face becomes disfigured. No blood
  • Henry receives a box in the mail containing his lost switchblade that he uses it to stab his sleeping father in the neck but it is a bit out of focus and no injury detail and little blood is shown
  • A man attacks his daughter, she hits him over the head with a vase, causing him to bleed mildly and possibly die. (not shown)
  • Georgie (Pennywise in disguise) is shot in the forehead with a bolt gun.
  • Henry is pushed down a well to his supposed "death" not shown.
  • A child is seen with a monster attached so his face, with blood pouring from both sides.
  • A bully is seen slitting his father's throat while he sleeps, there is some blood shown.
  • A girl is grabbed by a black string substance, she is pulled close to the sink, blood sprays out into her face and covers the whole bathroom. It is obvious the father can't see it and the girl is only seeing it, as it is not really there.
  • The gang killed Pennywise by throwing stones at him, at some point part of his brain was missing, so then he fell down for the grand exit.
  • Henry murders his father by stabbing him in the neck with a knife.

Profanity

  • In addition, A teen girl is called a ''Slut'' a couple times.
  • Lots of curse words, used by kids and adults alike. Including inappropriate hand gestures (putting up the middle finger).
  • Two middle finger But The Only One finger on the hand on a Finger Back gestures (one of the person)
  • A girl puts up a middle finger but it was cut In The Edited Version.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are many scary jumpscares. They usually happen at the least expected time.
  • In one scene after Pennywise gets stabbed In the eye he turns around with his mouth ripped open showing a little bit of IT and pairs of sharp teeth can be seen, then he rips his hand open with sharp spider like claws.
  • The Only Scene Is Projector About The Things Have Come. As Bill Turns To Get Scared That It Was Georgie. It Means Pennywise's Coming Out Of The Wall By The Projector.
  • IT changes its form according to the children's fears multiple times throughout the movie including dead Georgie, a deformed leper, a headless boy, werewolf claws, mummy, praying mantis arms, deformed flute lady from a painting and most importantly, Pennywise Projector.
  • Before being dragged to his death, Georgie is shown crawling on the road with his remaining arm, He cried for Help, Calling For Help, He Needs Help To Get Bill. This can be emotionally disturbing and upsetting to viewers.
  • Bill finds Georgie hiding behind a well. He walks over to Bill, lacking an arm and holding his paper boat, crying that he wants to go home. At the end of their conversation, Bill shoots Georgie in the forehead. It turns out afterwards that "Georgie" was merely a form of Pennywise's.
  • After defeating Pennywise, Bill finds Georgie's coat among the pile of missing children's belongings, confirming his death. He breaks down sobbing as he finally accepts Georgie's death, with his friends hugging him for comfort. This is a very emotional scene.
  • Georgie gets his arm attacked by Pennywise and starts crawling away screaming for help, Henry kills his dad when he's sleeping with a knife in the neck then blood goes everywhere
  • In The Edited Version There are some mild bloody images, It May Not Be scary to those who find clowns Not Creepy Enough.
