Storyline

An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland. Written by Production

Trivia

At the beginning of the film, Max has long hair which is cut short by the War Boys. A plausible nod to the previous film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) in which Max had long hair, which is later cut short by Savannah Nix, when she rescues him from the desert. See more »

Goofs

The vehicles are mostly powered by turbo and/or supercharged engines. Most of which have no form of air filtration. A supercharger or turbo charger without an air filter would be destroyed within minutes in such a sandy environment. We see these engines operating at full throttle in dust storms ingesting huge amounts of dirty air straight into the supercharger/turbo yet none of them ever fail. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Max Rockatansky: [Narrating] My name is Max. My world is fire and blood. Once, I was a cop. A road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else.

User Reviews

Fast and furious for people who like good movies
22 February 2021 | by adamlsherwinSee all my reviews

Movie about cars going really fast, but every shot looks like great concept art, and the characters all have great development. Most of the CGI is great, but some is shoddy. I don't really care because it works with the cartoony fun of the action. Don't listen to the soundtrack while driving.
