The trivia items below may give away important plot points.

The trailer for the film creates the false impression that Paul is distraught with his call center job at Land's End, and that this is one of the reasons for his decision to downsize. But in the final film, he actually doesn't take this job until after downsizing, following the divorce. Likewise, a scene of Audrey selling shoes from the trailer that leads to her being similarly distraught does not appear in the final film at all.

In the trailers, there is a scene where Matt Damon is surprised to see a large bottle of vodka being shared with a line of people filling buckets. This scene is not in the film.
