- Marcus and Alex's closeness causes friction in the band when they form a duo to perform in a gig. With the chance of success, Alex breaks her own code and uses magic when they perform, facing a dilemma about the future of the band and her friends.
- Marcus books a gig at his cousin Harry's café - where apparently the last singer who performed was signed on the spot by the executive from Zap Records. Unfortunately when they visit, they discover the stage at the café is only big enough for duos at best. Unwilling to let the opportunity slide, Marcus suggests only two of them perform so the band can still get noticed. J.B. and Amanda both want Alex to use magic to 'fix' things, but she won't do that. They have to be good enough without magic. When Amanda struggles with the new unplugged arrangement, Alex tries out as lead vocalist, and it works. The changes get things heated and J.B. quits. Alex and Marcus perform together at the cafe, but when the chance of success finally comes - Alex is faced with a decision to use magic, and a choice between the future of the band and her friends. In Manjipoor, Vashan and Diva try to work out how to use Anala's jewel to get to Alex's world.
