A coming of age storyline that feels like it has been done before. However, I liked this spin on the familiar plot. I enjoyed the character development and realistic script. The movie is from a male teenager's point of view. He lives with his single mother, likes to skateboard, and hang out with friends. The movie is about coming into his own while being forced to navigate some news that will change his life forever.

The great acting makes up for the low budget feel and some predictability. The acting is also what kept me watching and enjoying it until the end. It is a slow burn, but I feel that it makes the movie more realistic and genuine.
