Heather Paige Cohn,
Mark's life was running perfect. He had money, friends and skyrocketing fame from his viral video sensation. On the eve of his promotional tour, everything starts to come apart when he becomes the custodian of his rebellious street-wise teen-sister. He can't go on tour, an angry gangster promoter is on his heals and now his home away from home, the local beach bar, is going to be sold to greedy developers. It doesn't take long for Mark to find he is out of his league in terms of his career, business, and the ability to look after his sister. With the help of a cast of hysterical characters from the beach community, Mark fights to hold on to the frayed ends of his life and give himself a real purpose in life. Can he save the bar, his career and his family? Beach Bar: The Movie is a spin-off of the Universal Pictures international feature Hole in One (2009).Written by
This movie is the worst. On a whim, I decided to watch it because the ratings seemed decent (7.0 out of 10.0). Was I misled! I'm not sure if the director or producer prompted his friends to write favorable reviews (which may be against IMDb's guidelines), but clearly the reviews are biased and in no way reflect the poor quality of the film. The directing is sub par and the writing is just as bad. Stale dialogue. Plot points that don't make any sense. Shots with angles that make you scratch your head. I have no idea why this was even made. What's worse, I had the displeasure of meeting the director, with the hope that he'd provide some insight on his creative process. That experience was a disappointment too . . . as a person, he is even worse than the movies he makes, including this not-a-gem. Uhhh! In other words, don't even waste your time with this one.
