Violet is colorblind, but unlike every other colorblind person in the world, she can only see in black and white.
I'm not certain whether or not this would be considered the filmmaker's first feature. Is it?It is more complete and polished than what one might expect from a first feature. It's central premise is surprisingly clever. The idea of a color blind person who can only see in black and white is certainly unique. The fact that her name is Violet is evocative. It is also ironic. The filming locations were well chosen. I was impressed! It's always pleasant getting a feeling for geography outside of the typical Los Angeles / New York City locations in independent films. Is the filmmaker working on something else? I certainly hope so.Nice!
