Trivia

One of the lesser known "big box-office bombs of all time"; the budget spiraled up to one hundred twenty million dollars due to high salary demands of its principle cast and director, as well as a costly re-shoot for the beginning and the ending. Coupled with marketing costs, the movie lost an estimated one hundred five million dollars. See more »

Goofs

When Lisa was staying in George's apartment, after being so angry with Matty (due to what he said) that made her packed her things & left Matty's apartment, and waiting for George to make his own drink, she was drinking Guiness. When the scene showed the glass of Guiness on the box, she seemed to have taken it with her right hand. But right in the next scene, she took it with her left hand. See more »

Quotes

Lisa: George, this is my boyfriend Matty.
George: Nice to meet you.
Matty: Who is he?
Lisa: You didn't even say hello!
Matty: Yeah, I think you ought to check with me before you invite some guy over, so I'm a little bit too pissed off to say hello!

Better Than The Ratings
15 December 2017 | by nemysingerSee all my reviews

Ok, so I went into this thinking- The ratings are pretty bad, but then again how bad can a movie with Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon be? Oh, and Owen Wilson. And i was right. Granted, it was no Notting Hill, but then again most romantic comedies aren't. I would even go as far as to say that this movie has been wrongly characterized and is more of a romantic movie with a couple of chuckles. While the plot and character development could've used just a little fixing up, I'm glad this movie was made, and I'm glad I had the chance to see it.
