I have not seen the prequel, but this Raaz is nice. Nice for a few reasons. One, the acting of the lead characters in the movie, numero uno being Kangana Ranaut. She's a bundle of talent and expresses lovely. Adhyayan Suman as Kangana's boyfriend is a surprise package, acting romantic, gentle, caring or even ruthless with ease. Even Emraan Hashmi does a fine job but his weak point continues to be emotional scenes. The story is quite engaging and foot-tapping songs that has played a significant role in helping the movie commercially.
The not-so-nice aspects? I wish the special effects involving the buffalos were not used. It didn't look real & was not necessary too. Even one or two songs could have been chopped and the movie made more racy. Too many songs can drag. And the climax didn't work in the minds of the audience, in my opinion.
Verdict: Raaz 2 belongs to Kangana Ranaut. Watch it for her.
