The "Dante's Inferno" ride was in such disrepair, the two scenes in it had to be filmed in the very front. Extensive water damage made most of it unusable, and three members of the crew, including actor 'Sean Egan', fell through rotten planks during filming.

Barry Tangert was originally only cast in the small role of Mr. Howard, the amusement park owner. However, he hung around on set and became a prominent figure in several scenes, creating the character of Jeff.
