Storyline

Zach, a gifted writer, devoted son, and life-partner to his boyfriend AJ, is as ambitious as he is impatient. Success in his business seems impossibly elusive after trying every avenue available to him, and without adequate funds to provide treatment for his increasingly ill mother, it seems like a miracle when Damien, an influential literary agent, expresses interest in taking Zach on as a client. The essential Hollywood story...wonderfully shot
18 June 2009 | by wynnwenSee all my reviews

The writer/director has captured the essence of a classic Hollywood tale of ambition and self-betrayal. It's beautifully shot and lovingly constructed. Though this story revolves around the sexual exploitation within the context of a same sex relationship, the themes are at once intensely personal and universal. Anyone whose ever wanted to show and express themselves to the world has an artist, can relate.

Mr. Lam has demonstrated himself to be part of a new generation of filmmakers able to deliver well-crafted stories that paint a clear world with a definite point of view, while being accessible. We can already see the signs of a master of tone, through his great artistic choices. I look forward to seeing what else this filmmaker will bring us in the future.
