Storyline

This film is a short adaptation of Plato's, 'Allegory of the Cave' animated in clay. An excerpt from Plato's Republic, the 'Allegory of the Cave' is a classic commentary on the human condition. It is a story showing how true reality is not always what it seems to be on the surface. It is a story of open-mindedness and the power of possibility. We have adapted and brought it to life by shooting thousands of high-resolution photographs of John Grigsby's wonderful clay animation. Written by Anonymous

It could be an introduction. or a remind. or reflection of every day perception. or , just, one of short films real usefull. for the story. and for the clay characters. like a second level , poetical, more dramatic, convincing and powerful . it is almost perfect. because, like many clay animation, it is an eulogy of fragility. in this context, the clay represents the most inspired material for explore Plato text. because the appearences becomes more than obvious. and the drama of people from cave - more profound. so , a story. about yourself. dramatic, convincing, admirable work.
