Early evening - a big city. Two teenagers shyly flirt with each other, a housewife sits down to watch her daily soap, nurses in a hospital gossip before the nightshift starts, a trendy couple drives through rush hour, so excited they can hardly wait to get home - a man with a rifle enters a building seeking revenge. In the blink of an eye seemingly unrelated events turn upside down what were once secure, happy, 'normal' lives. Behind fear, beyond the unexpected, there is love and hope Written by Anne Walser
I saw the film at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Unfortunately they deserved but couldn't get any awards. This film was the only film that deeply impressed me in the whole festival.
The main idea of the movie is "an accident effects different people from different cultures in different ways." But story telling is amazing. Great music composition and production is used to complete the wonderful photography of the film. All the actors did their best but I really liked the shooter most.
In the context, we are able to see some kind of a projection of real life. A drama is not all about sadness and misery, also funny things do not happen only in comedy films. Life is a whole with all tones of gray, not blacks and whites only. So this movie gave me that feeling in a sensitive way. And as a great point, the miscommunication between the Turkish father and the German mother was a really impressive scene. Wherever you are, communication works both ways and fails if the link is broken on one side.
Maybe telling different stories in the same time line is a bit risky thing because people are used to find themselves a lead actor to follow the feelings, this movie breaks that idea and maybe it's hard for some people to follow the whole story. But personally I really like the scenario as much as I like the production of the movie.
I hope to see more wonderful works from this crew.
