In the opening scene, Susan is seen retrieving the shell casings off of the floor in her parents bedroom. The gun used is depicted to be a revolver, which would not eject its spent cases out.

Too exaggerated

They decided to dive headfirst into the western alter reality of this docudrama and I don't think it totally paid off. The scenes didn't coexist well with the story being told. Still some heartfelt moments and certainly an interesting end to this odd tale.
