Storyline

David Gram, a pharmaceutical sales rep, takes advantage of an opportunity to win over a client set in a remote territory, which would make him top sales rep of the year. This is the genesis of the idea for an all out business mixed with pleasure road trip/surf safari up the California coast with his four buddies in a classic 1950 Ford Woody. Along the way, David is outraged when he encounters his estranged wife, whose newly acquired job as sales rep for his competitor, is on her way to win the same client. The race is on. Fun, truly independent movie, in need of repair
8 June 2014 | by Jamesact21See all my reviews

Cute, fun, truly independent movie -- but one that should be shown to all film school students as an example of the subtle differences between an "okay" movie and one that becomes an underground cult classic (e.g., Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket or El Mariachi by Robert Rodriguez). Yes, the script could use some help, and the acting is comparable to what you might find on daytime soaps. But most of the flaws could be resolved through additional post-production processing and editing. The foundation for a good (possibly classic) cult film is all there. But if you can imagine yourself as a maker of fun home- movies and this is something you banged out in your spare time over the past couple of months, this movie is amazing. in that spirit, its a fun ride.
