Sam Beckett has leapt into a 26-year-old American male on a visit to Paris, France. Finding himself with a beautiful young British girl, all seems well until Sam discovers the exact date: August 30, 1997, twenty-four hours before the death of Princess Diana.
Timequest (2000) featured a similar premise where the death of a well-known individual (JFK) learns about his death and decides to still take the course that will lead to his demise after his faith is revealed by someone from the future. See more »
You can view this film on YouTube and this is what I would recommend. The story is solid and it's always fun to see Quantum Leap back in any form, but the acting is substandard on all levels. This fan base film has some decent special effects and the heart and soul of Quantum Leap is there, but that's about it. In these hard times, save the money and watch the four parts on YouTube. If you are expecting the old series, you will be greatly disappointed. The only character that comes from the old series is Deborah Pratt who was married to the creator at the time the series was introduced. Too bad she couldn't talk him into returning for another run.
