Scott Adkins On Screen: Five Of His Best Movie Roles

Scott Adkins has been tearing up the screen in Hollywood for well over a decade now. His latest film Accident Man hits DVD and digital download on Monday 16th April, and is an absolute blast – a bit of a corker of a British comic-book movie from Pat Mills (creator of the “Judge Dredd” comic) and Tony Skinner, and well worth seeking out.

In the film, Adkins plays the Mike Fallon – aka the Accident Man – a stone cold killer and the best at what he does. But when a loved one is dragged into the London underworld and murdered by his own crew, Fallon is forced to rip apart the life he knew in order to avenge the one person who actually meant something to him. Based on the popular UK comic book, Toxic!, the film also stars Ashley Greene, Michael Jai White, Ray Park, Ray Stevenson, David Paymer, Nick Moran,

With its crew trapped inside. With time running out, expert deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao), against the wishes of his daughter Suyin (Li Bingbing), to save the crew, and the ocean itself, from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as theMegalodon.

Red Sonja movie finds a screenwriter

Back in November it was announced that Millennium Films was looking to capitalise on the success of Wonder Woman with its own female-fronted comic book adaptation Red Sonja, and now the project has found a screenwriter.

According to Deadline, Ashley Edward Miller (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Black Sails) will pen the script for the movie, which is being produced by Avi Lerner (The Expendables, Olympus Has Fallen).

“It’s an exciting opportunity to faithfully adapt the amazing Hyborean world Robert E. Howard created, and inject it with Sonja’s intelligence, ferocity, and fearless humanity,” said Miller. “I want people to love Sonja the way I love her, and walk out of the theater understanding why she’s so popular and enduring. Sonja is an icon.”

Brigitte Nielsen previously potrayed the character in 1985’s Red Sonja movie, while Robert Rodriguez was previously attached to an abandoned big screen reboot and Ashley Edward Miller.

Today's report reveals that the sequel, which has the working title of Magic Hour, will start filming this June, in and around the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area.

While no specific locations within that area were revealed, since it is home to U.S. Government locations like The White House, the U.S. Capitol and the C.I.A. headquarters in Langley, Virginia, there is speculation that Diana Prince will be working directly with the U.S. Government, in some capacity.
