Every New Movie/Show Coming To Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu And More In July

Every New Movie/Show Coming To Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu And More In July
The summer movie season, as we usually know it, isn’t happening this year, with few big releases planning to drop over the next couple of months, even if cinemas are just starting to reopen. Instead, then, it’s falling on Netflix and the various other streaming services to pull their weight and give movie lovers a range of new content to feast on. Thankfully, July isn’t looking too shabby for original films and TV, not to mention lots of classics or underrated gems appearing on all the usual sites.

Of course, Netflix has the most original output coming across next month. TV fans, in particular, have got much to look forward to, including season 2 of The Umbrella Academy. In fact, it’s a good month for fantasy series based off comic books all-round, as we’ve also got Arthurian retelling Cursed and super-powered action show Warrior Nun coming as well.

Hulu Is Adding A Ton Of Great Horror Movies In July

Hulu Is Adding A Ton Of Great Horror Movies In July
With so many streaming services to choose from, it can often be difficult to find the right one to spend your hard-earned dough on. That being said, Hulu has remained among the most exciting and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix, really cementing itself as one of the most appealing options out there in recent years thanks to its collection of original content and very, very deep library of licensed films.

Like every other streaming service, they bring us new titles every month and July is looking to be quite a good one. Especially if you’re a horror fan. Admittedly, Hulu has always been pretty reliable when it comes to this particular genre, and that’s a reputation they seem intent to keep, as next month will bring us the likes of The Devil’s Rejects, Freddy vs. Jason, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, House of 1000 Corpses, The Ninth Gate, The House That Jack Built

Hulu New Releases: July 2020

Hulu New Releases: July 2020
Perhaps the most exciting piece of content coming to Hulu in July 2020 is…a movie? Remember those? You would buy a ticket and then go sit in a dark room with other people eating Buncha Crunch. Sounds wild!

Yes, more and more feature films are turning to streaming services for their summer releases. And with their list of new offerings for July 2020, Hulu got itself a big fish. Palm Springs is a Groundhog Day-style comedy starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti as star-crossed lovers forced to live the same day over and over again. It premieres on Hulu on July 10.

And that’s not the only original movie coming to Hulu in July. Romanian crime thriller The Whistlers premieres on July 2. Sasheer Zamata comedy The Weekend follows on July 15. Then Hulu caps the month off with the Julia Garner-starring The Assistant on July 20. There’s good movie news

Hulu Announces Over 175 New Movies/TV Shows For July

Hulu Announces Over 175 New Movies/TV Shows For July
With so many streaming services available now, it can often be hard to pick the right one to spend your hard-earned money on. However, Hulu has remained among the most successful and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix and has only gotten better with age. Whereas it had very few worthwhile movies years ago, now it often has some of the best films you can find to watch, and they’re offered up alongside brand new episodes of shows from various major networks. Like every other streaming service, Hulu updates their content throughout each month, and July is looking to add quite a lot of good stuff.

First up, superhero fans will be happy to hear that Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 swings onto the service on July 1st. This polarizing third entry for the Tobey Maguire version of the popular web-slinger sees Peter Parker bond with a symbiote that brings out

Vale Marena Manzoufas, gifted broadcaster

Marena Manzoufas.

Veteran broadcasting and TV distribution executive Marena Manzoufas is being remembered as a smart and adventurous woman who made an immense contribution to Australian TV.

A founding member of Bruce Gyngell’s executive team at Sbs in 1980, Manzoufas died on Friday from brain cancer, aged 68.

At Sbs she set up the subtitling unit, recalling: “The discussion that the fifth channel in Sydney and Melbourne should be a multicultural service, accessible to the community at large, and not an ethnic television service accessible only to particular language speakers at particular times, led directly to the need to establish a subtitling capacity, a quite new and unique venture in Australian television.

“When the unit was established, there was virtually no existing expertise in Australia, no trained personnel and certainly no body of knowledge or experience on which to draw.”

She served as deputy program director at Sbs until 1989 before joining

A&e, ID, Paramount Network Execs on Recipes for Unscripted Success
In this time of record volume of content competing for audience attention, there’s more than one way to define a series’s success, especially when it comes to structured and unstructured reality shows that don’t follow as strict a format as reality competitions, nor as specific storytelling arcs as scripted programs.

“The DNA and ingredients in every show are very different,” says Keith Cox, president of development at Paramount Network. “You really have to slice it and dice it. Not all shows are created equal, and when you’re thinking of a hit, they’re not defined the same, nor should they be.”

High ratings may be the first indicator of success, but seldom give the full picture of the audience, not only due to viewing habits but also geographic location. “Are they

showing up live? That’s critical and means they’re really into it. Live-plus-three tells

Discovery Presses for Higher Ad Prices at ID in Early Upfront Talks (Exclusive)

Advertisers are being asked to take a harder look at Investigation Discovery, the cable network that is packed with programs about crime and murder.

Discovery Inc. is pressing media buyers to pay higher prices for advertising on the network, according to four executives familiar with the discussions, part of the company’s negotiations in TV’s annual “upfront,” when U.S. networks try to sell the bulk of their advertising inventory for the coming season.

Getting higher prices for ID, as the network is often known, is one of Discovery’s first major initiatives under Jon Steinlauf, who was named Chief U.S. Advertising Sales Officer at the company after its recent $11.9 billion purchase of Scripps. Steinlauf oversaw Scripps’ ad sales efforts. Discovery declined to make executives available for comment.

The network is known for its focus on true crime stories, and features series such as “Cuff Me If You Can

The Lady Assassin: DVD Review

Director: Nguyen Quang Dung. Review: Adam Wing. Vietnamese films aren't exactly easy to come by on our shores, especially martial arts movies filmed in 3D. The Lady Assassin is a feisty action adventure that makes the most of cutting edge technology, stunning locations and beautiful girls. Make no mistake about it, the female cast members of The Lady Assassin are absolutely stunning. So much so, it's easy to forgive the films textbook plotting and overambitious set pieces. Deadly women with dark secrets, evil outlaws, corrupt officials and group bathing sessions are the order of the day here. Nothing too gratuitous, that might upset the Vietnamese sensors, but there's more than enough titillation for those of us growing tired of wire-assisted wonderment. The Lady Assassin is one of the biggest box office hits in Vietnamese history, and as long as you keep your expectations down to a minimum, there's plenty for
