Storyline

It is two years after the defeat of Majin Buu, and Earth is enjoying a time of peace. Mr. Satan invites all of the Z Fighters to a banquet celebrating the opening of his hotel, but while they are enjoying themselves, they are interrupted by the arrival of Tarble, brother of Vegeta, and Tarble's wife. Tarble tells them how two fighters, formerly henchmen of Frieza, are terrorizing the planet that he now lives on, and he asks for their help in vanquishing these new foes. Written by page8701

Trivia

This feature takes place in the era between Majin Buu's defeat and Uub's appearance (which marks the ending of Dragon Ball Z (1989)). However, the DBZ features Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013) and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection "F" (2015) and Dragon Ball Super (2015) mark this as the beginning of a new timeline which effectively splits off the events of DBZ's sequel Dragon Ball GT (1996) into a new continuity (though most fans consider GT as non-canon since creator Akira Toriyama wasn't involved). Highly anticipated Dragonball flick lives to its expectations
26 July 2009 | by kkumar181286See all my reviews

Nearly a decade after the last Toei animated anime comes a new anime of the title "Yo. Son Goku and His Friends Return." A really mesmerizing concept in its own respect, the youngest of the DBZ movie lives up to its hype and expectations. Not an extremely serious kind of movie like others, it was rather on the merrier side.

Vegeta softened up beyond belief, the only villains in the movie not stronger than the kids Goten and Trunks, Vegeta's brother visits earth out of nowhere and King Kai visiting earth for the first time are some of the highlights of this movie.

This movie is possibly one of those which concludes an immensely huge series with the title "And they happily lived ever after."
