Storyline

Three somewhat skeptical friends take a road trip in a haggard RV reenacting an ancient Biblical pilgrimage. In the gospel of Luke, the resurrected Jesus is said to appear to two travelers walking form Jerusalem to Emmaus in ancient Israel. This is the modern story of three travelers looking for Jesus between Jerusalem, Ohio and Emmaus, PA. What starts as an investigative experiment ends as a poignant story of post-modern pilgrimage and communal awakening. Written by Joe Boyd

Thought provoking, everyone has a God story.

Excellent movie to watch with friends. Challenging to many world views and philosophies. Does one have to be "churhcy" to hear from God? How can the Bible be read? Is it a love story? Why do I work? Do I have to have it all together for God to speak to me or do something cool in my life? Can I point to an experience or time in my life that changed my direction/philosophy? Do real people have to look for what God wants them to be or where they should be living? Does Stan have credibility in your opinion? Joe gets ambushed in respect to his expectations for the trip. Could he speak to and film people and then realize that maybe he is on a trip of self discovery and not just a director/teacher?
