It makes you think...
26 April 2009 | by MartinHaferSee all my reviews

This short film begins with a man noticing that it's pretty loud in the next apartment--like they're having an argument. He calls the police and soon they arrive to find a bleeding woman and a man who both know only Russian. Well, not surprisingly, the police don't know Russian and they don't know what to do. However, they assume he's guilty of domestic violence and they decide to take him to jail. Then, the film backs up and shows the events leading up to the arrest from the standpoint of the Russian immigrants. It turns out that through a series of unfortunate events, the lady was hurt and her husband was actually quite innocent. It just goes to show you how life can sometimes be tough due to language barriers in a new land.

The short is well made throughout and really makes you think.
