A kiss and a traffic accident thrust Calum and Lucy, both twenty-something and "just good friends", into a strange limbo constructed entirely from their own memories. As they finally begin to open up to each other, the real world and its consequences begin to return, forcing them to realise their looming fate. Written by Matt Strachan
I really enjoyed this short film and thought it very emotive. The storyline had added impact due to the subtlety of the portrayal of the relationship of the couple set against the dramatic event of the car crash. It was also highly reminiscent of the cruelty and/or unfairness of life in that we cannot always have what we want and that we don't always appreciate what we have until it's too late. Similarly, it raised the question about the value of friendship and whether genuine friendships can exist between men and women without one party wishing to take things further. Is that ever a good idea? A lot of messages were packed into this excellent film - I loved it.
