What happens when an obscure film festival is the last hope for a failing producer and his disaster of a movie? My wife and I had a chance to view this at the Santa Fe Film Festival. It was a refreshing delight. It was nice to see a small film that was funny and smart, and didn't have to rely on gross out humor or silly special effects.
The ensemble cast was excellent, but Dennis Hopper was excellent, and it's a must see for any of his fans. The challenges of his passing must have taken a toll on the filmmakers, but it is hardly noticeable throughout.
If you get a chance to see this film, do so. It's a great change of pace from today's over-blown Hollywood movies.
