Promotional short to publicize the full-length film...
16 August 2009 | by DoylenfSee all my reviews

The narration tells us "it's a voyage you'll never forget." It's a short promotional piece for MGM's film of the same name starring LLOYD BRIDGES where a team of explorers searches deep under the ocean in a world of wonder beneath the sea.

The narrator goes on to describe "the majesty of nature" underwater as we observe various specimens of fish and their encounter with a brave film crew risking their lives to photograph the exotic footage.

We're told that the crew was on a modern scientific expedition while filming and scouting locations in the Bahamas and Australia and we see their specially created deep diving vehicle for actors and crew.

Interesting behind-the-scenes look at what appears to be a rather unusual film about seeking to prevent underwater earthquakes. Too bad the color photography in the short is rather murky.
