Better than I expected
26 December 2010 | by Dragonbreath130See all my reviews

My first review...As an avid Amy Acker fan I ordered this movie from the official website and was not disappointed by her performance. Despite some reviews "21 and a Wakeup" offers a realistic message from Chris McIntyre about what is was like. Operating on a $3 million budget the end result was poignant and at times a tough to watch depiction of the war. War does not command happy endings but the moments these people enjoy are captivating and emotional. The characters grow on you as the movie does as well. "21 and a Wakeup" does not assume to be "China Beach" but has a charm of its own. After DVD distribution it will most likely hit TV if you want to wait.
