The character named "Dolores Pasternak" or "Miss Pasternak" was previously played by Missi Pyle in Season 2 but she was replaced by Alicia Witt for this episode. The change was made to show the emotional change that Miss Pasternak went through after Charlie dumped and hurt her. When Miss Pasternak (Missi Pyle) is first introduced, she told Charlie she was a pole dancer in Reno before she became a teacher.
