Storyline

Barney can't stop promoting his new job at Goliath National Bank (GNB). He keeps asking Marshall to interview for a job. Marshall tries to find a job. Robin is on a 7 day cleanse diet. Everyone is at the pub and they're promoting a new burger. Everyone gets the burger and that leads to Marshall reliving his first days in New York when he found the "best burger in New York City." This leads to a quest to find the place with a neon red burger sign and a green door. A crazy strong Regis Philbin gets in on the action. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

During the flashback of when Marshall and Ted first move to NYC, and Marshall tells Ted how great cable TV is, that there is a show of an "old Jewish lady wearing a bikini" he is likely referring to The Robin Bryd Show, a long running cable access show hosted by Robin Byrd, a former porn actress. She wears a bikini ALL THE TIME. See more »

Goofs

During the opening, a reference is made to the Elbow Room (an old punk rock club), which became a drug store. What really happened is that the Kim's Underground and the former Elbow Room (not a punk rock club) at 144-146 Bleecker Street, became a Duane Reade drug store in the Spring of 2006. The image shown purporting to be the Elbow Room is really a club from across the street (The Bitter End) and Terra Blues, both with the signage on their marquees digitally removed. See more »

Quotes

Lily: I wanna get tiny fitted sheets for this burger and just crawl into this bun, and get all cozy and die there.
Robin: Oh, my God, I just want you inside of me.
Barney: This feels so good! I'm worried I'm gonna get this burger pregnant.
Marshall: If he does get that burger pregnant, I have dibs on the delicious burger babies.

What A Let Down
18 December 2014 | by slightlymad22See all my reviews

What a let down, following on from a brilliant season opener, this is a massive disappointment!! Some times a silly plot like this can work, but for this reviewer, this episode misses the mark by a mile.

Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall tells the story of when he first moved to New York, he tasted the best burger ever. He then attempts to track down where he had it, along with the rest of the gang and Regis Philbin.

Even with the celebrity cameo and a great performance from Jason Segel and an enthusiastic turn by Neil Patrick Harris as Barney who is excited his company has had a major takeover of Goliath National Bank (GNB) and he because he played a big part in it, is being heavily rewarded , and keeps singing the praises of GNB
