Dr. Ramirez encourages a schizophrenic patient who calms himself by playing and relating to John Lennon music. This therapy raises the ire of a another Doctor who opposes her and to use more conventional drug therapy. Lilly and Scott track the patient down who was assumed her murderer.
After a homeless shelter volunteer sees a schizophrenic college roommate (Pete Skennel) who was suspected of the arson-murder of his therapist (Julie Ramirez), he contacts the Cold Case team. The team learns there was a relapsed drug addict working at Tranquility House, a female patient stalking Ramirez, a fellow psych she had been involved with, and controversy over her music therapy. Lilly ignores orders to commit Skennel in order to continue getting information and discovers his hallucinations are based on reality.
