Set during the Cannes Film Festival, The Making of Plus One packs a punch and pokes more than a little fun at the celebrity obsession fueling the modern day film industry, full of fads, festival red carpets, creatively incongruous commerciality and artistic dispensability in the far from glamorous reality that is independent feature filmmaking.Written by

No insight in to film making with this poor production
Simply stated this was just an awful movie with little insight and/or value offered to movie buffs like myself who would have an interest in understanding how a legitimate producer would go about arranging finance for their movie concept. I know it was intended to be tongue in cheek, but assuming the movie producers pitching their plot would need to be able to convince a potential financier that they had already lined up the movie's major stars and a quick phone call or email would confirm the stars are actually on board for the production.
This movie within a movie was supposedly taking place at the Canne's Film festival and the background music continually played was New Orleans jazz. Go figure? The only semblance of a movie star was Jennifer Tilly, and true to the movie's theme, her acting was also below par.
Don't waste any time on this time waster.
