The team investigates another phenomena that may be part of the pattern. In this case, a woman who claims not to be pregnant gives birth to full-term child and in the space of four hours, the newborn grows old and dies. Dr. Bishop had conducted some experiments in this field with a colleague that also involved the man's son. Meanwhile, some aspects of the case convince Agent Dunham that it's the work of a serial killer who has been sought by the FBI for many years. To solve the case, she must rely on Nina Sharp to provide the necessary technology.

Betty Gilpin's character "Loraine Daisy" may be a reference and homage to Donna Reed's "Lorene" in "From Here to Eternity". Both worked in a club using an alias, and Gilpin claims her mother spelled her name wrong. See more
Several mistakes when Peter tries to revive the girl at the warehouse near the end of the episode: Firstly, defibrillators are not used to restart a heart during asystole (the time in which the heart doesn't beat at all - flat-line on the monitor), instead, CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) is the correct method. Defibrilator discharges are used during fibrillation to stop chaotic an ineffective heartbeats ("fibrillation"). Secondly - Peter uses some metallic objects to conduct the electricity, however he places them over the drapes covering the girl's body. To prevent burns and other injuries, conductive gel is placed between the metallic plate of the defibrillator and the skin of the patient, certainly not a paper drape. Thirdly, Peter simply takes too long to build his makeshift defibrillator for the resuscitation to be effective. See more
