Trivia
The Runaways was originally going to be a film in Phase One, with production beginning in May 2008. Brian K. Vaughn was hired to write the screenplay, Peter Sollett was to direct the film, and Drew Pearce to write a new script. However, the project was shelved in 2013 due to the success of The Avengers, with Phase Three being the earliest time for The Runaways to become a film but it was left unannounced. The creators of Gossip Girl, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Salvage, later made a deal with Marvel Television to turn the almost-abandoned project into a TV series.
