Inside Former Disney Channel Star Tiffany Thornton's Life After Heartbreak

Tiffany Thornton made headlines Sunday when she walked down the aisle to marry family friend and youth pastor Josiah Capaci.

The ceremony came less than two years after Thornton’s first husband, Christopher Carney, was killed in a car crash in Arkansas on Dec. 4, 2015. He was 35. Carney was in a vehicle with his friend, 37-year-old Ezekiel Blanton, when Blanton swerved and hit a tree, Kthv reported. Blanton also died in the crash.

James Maslow, Mitchel Musso to Star in Action-Comedy ‘Bachelor Lions’ (Exclusive)
Big Time Rush” star James Maslow and Mitchel Musso have been tapped as the leads in the independent action-comedy “Bachelor Lions” from River Rock Films, Variety has learned exclusively.

Paul Bunch is directing from his own script with shooting starting later this month in Los Angeles. Producers are Jack Kavanaugh and R. Scott Reid. Executive producers are Ivan Cohen and John Ryan Jr .

The story centers on the journey of two young men living in Los Angeles and struggling to find themselves in a city where everyone else seems to have it all figured out. The duo are living in the shadows and barely surviving, until a stroke of luck brings together.

Producers plan for a 2017 theatrical release. “Bachelor Lions” is also being shot as a prelude for a planned episodic TV series to air with negotiations under way with several unnamed networks.

Snowboarding experience is helpful but not required. Two-time Teen Choice Award nominee Ashley Tisdale is executive producing "Cloud Nine" under the banner of her company Blondie Girl Productions, which is also set to produce the Disney Channel original Movie "Adventure Quest," and a pilot for ABC Family titled "The Keys". The hit show 'PrankStars' casting Disney Channel star's biggest fans

The Zoo Productions Disney Channel hit hidden camera reality series "PrankStars" is in production and the show's casting department is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 8-16, who are huge fans of a Disney Channel star. If selected to appear on the show, the unsuspecting tweens and teens come face to face with their favorite celebrities in unpredictable and humorous situations. Extras are also being cast to be a part of the pranks. The series is hosted by Disney Channel actor Mitchel Musso who directs the pranks live from an undercover mobile command center. Musso has appeared on the Disney Channel shows and movies "Hannah Montana," "Pair of Kings," "Phineas and Ferb," "Hatching Pete, "That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana," and "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana" among others. Avalon High, the next Disney Channel Original Movie, has started production in New Zealand and it stars Britt Robertson and Gregg Sulkin. Disney Channel Original Movie 'Avalon High' auditions and casting in full swing

Disney Channel has started production on Julie Sherman Wolfe's screenplay adaptation of the popular novel Avalon High by Meg Cabot. Cabot has written many novels for children, teenagers and adults, under several pen names: Meg Cabot, Meggin Cabot, Patricia Cabot, and Jenny Carroll. Cabot has also written many types of novels, including historical romances, contemporary chick lit, and young adult series with themes of mystery and paranormal suspense. The novel Avalon High was published in 2005 and reached number 3 in the New York Times children's best sellers list in January 2006. A manga sequel has been released called Coronation, Volume one: The Merlin's Prophecy. Movie rights have also been bought by Disney Channel.

The telefilm Avalon High is about a girl who starts attending a new school where everyone is a reincarnation of the principal figures in the Arthurian legend.

31st Young Artist Awards Nominees in TV

BFFs Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus each earn equally one spot at the Young Artist Awards this year under the television category. The first two are included for their roles in TV movie "Princess Protection Program" while Miley is in for her leading role on "Hannah Montana".

In terms of the number, it is Miranda Cosgrove and her show "iCarly" that earn the most. Beside the actress herself who is nominated for Best Performance in a TV Series by a Leading Actress, the whole cast are nominated for Outstanding Young Performers in a TV Series. Additionally, Nathan Kress and Joey Luthman land a nod each in supporting actor and recurring categories respectively.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are placed in competition against each other at the upcoming 31st Annual Young Artist Awards. As the Young Artist Foundation unveiled this year's nominees, it is revealed that the two Disney stars and best friends are vying for Leading or Supporting Young Actress title in a category for TV movie, mini-series or special.

Both Selena and Demi received the nomination for their performance as Carter Mason and Rosalinda respectively in "Princess Protection Program". Beside each other, they are also up against two other hopefuls, Tori Barban of "The Christmas Hope" and Patricia Raven of "Dear Harvard".

The two teen stars are not the only Disney's leading lady to get nominated for 2010 Young Artist Awards. Miley Cyrus has earned a nod for Leading Young Actress in TV series for her role on "Hannah Montana". Disney Channel Orders "Good Luck Charlie"

With hits like "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place," Disney Channel wants to keep its string of good luck going.

The network is ordering up "Good Luck Charlie," a new live-action series some familiar Disney Channel faces.

The series stars Jason Dolley, of Disney Channel's "Cory in the House" series, as well as Disney Channel Original Movies "Hatching Pete" and "Minutemen," and Bridgit Mendler of "Jonas."

The show is about a family whose lives are turned upside down with the addition of their fourth child and the adventures and mishaps of teens living with a new baby. Eric Allan Kramer and Leigh Allyn Baker star as parents Bob and Amy Holliday.

USA Network holds off TNT for top slot

USA Network held off a charge by TNT to keep its ratings streak alive, averaging 3.18 million total viewers for the week ended April 26, topping the Turner net by a margin of just over a quarter-million people (254,000).

TNT averaged 2.93 million viewers, returning to the #2 spot for the first time in 10 weeks. More importantly, TNT swept all three major demos, averaging 1.57 million viewers 18-49, 1.52 million adults 25-54 and 821,000 18-34s.

The network's coverage of the opening round of the NBA playoffs gave it a huge lift, as five games were among the 50 most-watched shows on ad-supported cable last week. TNT drew 3.82 million viewers April 23 with game three of the Lakers-Jazz series, while game two of the Celtics-Bulls showdown delivered 3.76 million viewers on Monday night.

On Tuesday night, LeBron James rang up 29 points and 13 rebounds as the Cavaliers took a two-game lead over the Pistons in front of a national TV audience of 3.7 million viewers.

Mitchel Musso and Tiffani Thornton's 'Let It Go' Music Video

A music video in companion of Mitchel Musso and Tiffani Thornton's duet track "Let It Go" has been released. It includes scenes from Disney Channel's TV movie "Hatching Pete".

The video centers on Jason Dolley's Pete Ivey dressing in a chicken costume as his high school mascot. Appearing during a basketball game, the chicken soon becomes the main attraction at the school.

A theme song for "Hatching Pete", "Let It Go" is written by a team consisting of Ali Dee Theodore, Alana Da Fonsecca, Vinny Alfieri, Julian Davis and Sarai Howard. Its music video meanwhile is directed by Alex Kalsey and Max Gutierrez.
