- Dr. Gregory House: I could stay here with you.
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Get off the bus.
- Dr. Gregory House: I can't.
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Why not?
- Dr. Gregory House: Because... because it doesn't hurt here. Because I... I don't want to be in pain, I don't want to be miserable. And I don't want him to hate me.
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Well... you can't always get what you want.
- Dr. James Wilson: Why aren't you angry?
- Dr. Amber Volakis: That is not the last feeling I want to experience.
- Dr. Gregory House: Start her on IV interferon. I'm going to tell Wilson.
- Dr. Eric Foreman: [sarcastically] Good idea and I'll go nap because I was concussed last night and had a heart attack this morning. I'll tell Wilson. You go sleep.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: [to Thirteen] I'm an Indian guy named "Kutner". Ever wonder what happened to my parents?
- Thirteen: I'm sorry, I didn't...
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: I was 6 years old. I used to like helping out in my parents' store after school. Guy walks in to rob the place. Ends up shooting them both. Wasn't fair. Took years, but I had to accept that's just the way it was.
- Thirteen: [about Amber] We should say goodbye.
- Dr. Chris Taub: She didn't even like us.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: We liked her.
- Dr. Chris Taub: Did we?
- Dr. Eric Foreman: We do now.
- Dr. Richmond: Her heart won't stop racing, no idea what's causing it.
- Dr. Gregory House: Sure it wasn't the bus that landed on her?
- Dr. Gregory House: Did you see the color of the sputum?
- Bartender: I assume sputum means snot? Look, I see a lot of drunk chicks in here. I didn't have time to stop and analyze the color of your girlfriend's boogers.
- Thirteen: Maybe it's an allergic reaction to Interferon.
- Dr. Gregory House: Yes, the symptom that I saw on the bus was a rare Interferon allergy that flares up two days before you take it.
- Dr. James Wilson: [When House and Wilson are in an ambulance with Amber] Why was she on the bus?
- Dr. Gregory House: I don't know. If she had any underlying condition, the accident could have exacerbated it.
- Dr. James Wilson: Why were you with her?
- Dr. Gregory House: [shouts] I don't know! I'm not hiding anything. I just don't remember. What else could damage her heart?
- [Wilson distantly presses the bridge of his nose; House looks at him]
- Dr. Gregory House: Wilson, don't get lost! I'm barely coherent. I need your help right now.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: What did House have to say?
- Thirteen: He told me I was raised by wolves and that's why I use the same hand for my fork and knife.
- Dr. Gregory House: We're fifteen minutes away from Princeton Plainsboro by ambulance.
- Dr. Richmond: [about Amber] You wanna move her? Her heart rate is 130.
- Dr. Gregory House: She's hemodynamically stable. We're moving her.
- Dr. Richmond: You're not her doctor. You can't make that decision.
- Dr. Gregory House: [looking towards Wilson] Her husband can.
- [Wilson looks surprised]
- Dr. Gregory House: Right?
- Dr. James Wilson: [looks at Amber and then turns to Dr. Richmond] Move her.
- Dr. Gregory House: [about Amber] The trauma must have stimulated a pre-existing heart condition.
- Dr. Chris Taub: Autoimmune congenital anomaly, blood clotting disorder, lead poisoning...
- Thirteen: Could be anything.
- Dr. Gregory House: Great! Let's explore that. Quick, get her on panacea.
- Dr. Chris Taub: [to House] I need to know if there's anything medically relevant that you couldn't share publicly.
- Dr. Gregory House: Is this a Philanderers Anonymous intervention?
- Dr. Chris Taub: You were obviously drinking last night. Maybe you took Amber to a bar.
- Dr. Gregory House: I left here on my motorcycle alone.
- Dr. Chris Taub: You ended up drunk on a bus together. Maybe you met Amber in the bar.
- Dr. Gregory House: I was not having an affair with her.
- Dr. Chris Taub: You can't really say that if you don't remember.
- Dr. Gregory House: I lost 4 hours, not 4 months.
- Dr. Gregory House: Blow up doll would be more useful. And yes, that's the first time I've ever implied something negative about a blowup doll.
- Dr. Gregory House: [after bumping Thirteen's foot while sitting in a restroom stall] Sorry, wide stance.
- Dr. James Wilson: [after Amber goes into cardiac arrest and House is about to shock her] Wait, wait, wait! Protective hypothermia.
- Dr. Gregory House: You wanna freeze her? Her heart's not beating.
- Dr. James Wilson: Her heart's already damaged. If you restart it, it'll keep racing, shoot off free radicals and kill her brain. We ice her down, put her on bypass until you've diagnosed her.
- Dr. Gregory House: This is not a solution. All you're doing is pressing pause.
- Dr. James Wilson: It gives you more time to find a diagnosis. House, this is Amber!
- [House looks at Amber]
- Dr. James Wilson: Please.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: [to House] If you really did see a symptom in Amber before the crash, physostigmine helped your memory last time.
- Dr. Chris Taub: Why not cyanide? He's a mess. He needs to sleep.
- Dr. Gregory House: I had a heart attack this morning. Can't do any more drugs till lunch.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: [after Thirteen stops Kutner from watching a personal video of Amber and Wilson on Amber's laptop] As long as we don't know what's wrong, we don't know what's relevant.
- Thirteen: Yeah, maybe they're having sex on a pile of asbestos. Go watch it. If we were in a stranger's house, you'd be watching the video. You altered your behavior because you're friends with her.
- Dr. Lawrence Kutner: Are you okay?
- Thirteen: We shouldn't be treating her at all.
- Dr. Amber Volakis: [to House] What did we do last night?
- Dr. Gregory House: [House looks at Amber pouring sherry into a glass; she slides it towards House] Was I meeting you for a drink?
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Is that all it was? A man thinks a woman is beautiful, admires her intelligence, admires the way she has to get whatever she wants, the things he likes about himself.
- [goes around House's desk and comes near him; she slowly eases herself into House's lap]
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Maybe she always had a little thing for him. His mind. His blue eyes. But someone gets between them. So, they decide to meet one night at an out-of-the-way little bar. Does that sound familiar?
- [she and House's lips are inches apart from each other]
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Do I feel familiar? What do you feel?
- [breathes into House's ear]
- Dr. Amber Volakis: Electricity.
- [House wakes up from his hallucination and spills his mug of water on his desk]
- Dr. Lisa Cuddy: [to House] You need to rest. I have yet to hear about any study linking electricity and rest.
- Thirteen: [to House] You are the champion of not dealing with your problems.
- Dr. Gregory House: My grandson gave me a mug that says that.
