The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Armstrong endures a minor wreck during testing, resulting in abrasions on the side of his face.
  • Armstrong accidentally breaks a drinking glass (after receiving bad news). He sees that there is a long cut on his palm (some blood).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are many scenes that are intense. Several crashes with fire. One specific incident may be frightening because the capsule lights on fire and explodes with three astronauts inside. The explosion is off-screen and we are later told that they are dead. This is a short scene but can be unsettling, especially for people with claustrophobia.
  • There is a sad subplot involving a child that is terminally ill and eventually dies. This mostly happens early in the film and is not drawn out, but it affects the main character and we are shown flashbacks of the child a few times throughout the story.
