When this release was first announced in late 2007, there were plans to release not only a regular DVD but also a HD DVD and a Blu-ray Disc. Ultimately the HD DVD release didn't happen due to the failure of that format and the Blu-ray Disc was shelved indefinitely with the record company stating the market as insufficient. Despite the steady incline in Blu-ray Disc popularity and petitions by fans, the record company has refused a high definition release of this concert.
