Storyline

Ray Breslin is a man who has devoted his life to making prisons inescapable by going into a prison as an inmate and trying to see if he can break out. And he has done a good job so far. A woman who says she works for the CIA approaches Ray and says that a new maximum security prison where the worst criminals are to be incarcerated, is about to be launched. So she wants him to go and make sure no one can get out. He agrees. So they make the necessary preps but when Ray arrives at the prison, he discovers that someone doesn't want him to get out. He then tries to find a way out but he needs help. Another prisoner, Rottmeyer becomes friendly with him. And they decide to work together to get out. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

Trivia

During the escape from Bendwater the monitors hint at how Breslin got out; The guard tells Ray its 3:55 and then Ray counts out 5 minutes. When the guards run back into the room the other prisoners timestamps show 4:01, Ray's shows 3:58. See more »

Goofs

Urban legend presented as fact: Breslin deduces which hemisphere they're in based on which direction the drains flow. This effect, known as Coriolis force, is quoted by Breslin as causing moving objects on the surface of the Earth to be deflected in a counter-clockwise rotation in the Northern Hemisphere and in a clockwise rotation in the Southern Hemisphere. It is not effective on water drainage, so it cannot be used to scientifically and surely determine in which hemisphere one is. See more »

Quotes

Swan Rottmayer: If I don't get out, I will kill you.
Breslin: Fair enough.

Solid, Simple and Entertaining Action
13 October 2013 | by Mrs1586See all my reviews

This is a simple plot movie that symbolizes everything about Silvestre and Schwarzenegger glory days. There is no thick plot or real complexities, it's a simple bad guys Vs good guys action flick. However, the movie does not disappoint, its very entertaining and full of action and hard core scenes. The acting is as expected, nothing Oscar worthy but good enough from action legends like them. The idea is simple and is easily understood. The one difference in this movie is that the chemistry between Schwarzenegger and Stallone is excellent and they deliver some humor also. The only downside that I can think about is the fact that this movie is really meant for both the stars fans and not people who are looking for real ideas or excellent cinematography. Bottom line go enjoy the movie and don't forget your popcorn.
