Possible Avengers 4 Title Was Already Mentioned In Age Of Ultron

When it comes to the endless quest to decipher what the real title for Avengers 4 is, fans have mostly analyzed Infinity War for clues. Such as the theory that Doctor Strange’s line “we’re in the endgame now” meant it would be called Avengers: Endgame. The latest intel on the movie points to Avengers: Annihilation being its name though, which kind of stumps the idea that the title was hinted at in previous films. Or does it?

Reddit user HelsenDiaN noticed that the all-important word “annihilation” was name-checked by Scarlet Witch back in Age of Ultron. The moment in question comes when Wanda airs her suspicions about Vision, as at this point she believes him to be the same as Ultron. “I looked into your head and saw annihilation,” she says.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 production pushed back to 2021

Although it was originally slated to begin production in the next few months ahead of a 2020 release, Marvel’s plans for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 were thrown into disarray this summer when Disney fired writer-director James Gunn due to offensive tweets the filmmaker made back in his pre-Marvel days.

This forced the studio to reassess its plans, with actor Dave Bautista stating that the third Guardians movie is now on indefinite hold, and rumours circulating that Marvel has decided to bring forward Doctor Strange 2 to plug the gap in the McU’s schedule.

Given that Marvel has made no comment on the Guardians movie, nor does it seem to be in any hurry to bring on board a new director, there has been some speculation that the studio could have scrapped its plans for Star-Lord and company’s third solo outing.

However, fans can seemingly breathe a little easier now,

Doctor Strange 2 is Said To Start Shooting This Year

There’s been a lot of uncertainty about the return of Doctor Strange in the McU. Doctor Strange is one of my favorite Marvel characters, I loved the first film, and I really was hoping that we’d see a sequel. We know there would be one, but there hasn’t been a lot of talk regarding it though. We also really haven’t really seen any rumors or news regarding the sequel over the past few months.

Well, that all changes today with news from Doctor Strange actor Benedict Wong. He recently teased that not only will he return for Avengers 4, but that he will be returning to Doctor Strange 2, which he says will start shooting at the end of the year! This news comes from Cb, who heard Wong drop the big announcement at Fan Expo Vancouver over the weekend.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was supposed

Benedict Wong Hopes Doctor Strange 2 Will Begin Filming Soon

Benedict Wong Hopes Doctor Strange 2 Will Begin Filming Soon
Benedict Wong hopes to begin filming Doctor Strange 2 by the end of the year. Additionally, Wong revealed that he will be in Avengers 4, though he could not divulge if he survived the events of Infinity War. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed that the sequel was being developed back in June, but didn't offer up any other details. Scott Derrickson directed the first film, but is unclear if he'll return for the sequel, though he has been teasing his involvement on social media.

Benedict Wong appeared at the Fan Expo Vancouver over the weekend where he delivered the Doctor Strange 2 update. We're pretty much already at the end of the year, which means that filming will more than likely start within the next few weeks or early next year, if Wong has his information correct. This is pretty big news, and at the very least, proves that Doctor Strange 2 is happening sooner,

Doctor Strange 2 Could Start Filming By The End Of This Year

Ever since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was put on ice, it’s been looking like Marvel Studios would bump up Doctor Strange 2 to fill its place. Director Scott Derrickson has been teasing a sequel to his 2016 origins movie on Twitter for a while now and rumors point to it beginning production in early 2019. The latest word on the subject, however, suggests that things may get underway sooner than we thought.

While attending Fan Expo Vancouver this weekend, Benedict Wong – who plays, er, Wong in the McU – had a little bit to say about when we might see him again on screen. He teased that he’s filmed scenes for Avengers 4 and said he expects to begin shooting Doctor Strange 2 before the year’s out. We don’t have a direct quote from him about this, but that’s the word from those who witnessed his Q&A at the convention.

Scarlett Johansson Scores Huge $15M Payday For Black Widow Solo Movie

It’s going on eight years since Scarlett Johansson’s debut as Black Widow, and in that time, the sleeper agent formerly known as Natasha Romanova has grown into one of the undisputed pillars of Marvel’s franchise. An McU Mvp, if you will.

That loyalty has been rewarded with substantial roles across The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, while we fully expect Black Widow to enjoy more screentime during Avengers 4 than she did in the super-sized Infinity War – ditto for Chris Evans, who has since announced his retirement as Captain America.

Circling back to Black Widow, though, and The Hollywood Reporter brings word today that Scarlett Johansson has scored a huge $15M payday for the planned standalone movie – an eight-figure sum on par with what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth earned on Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively.

We should stress that a Marvel spokesperson reached out

Ant-Man And The Wasp Might Have Laid The Groundwork For The McU’s Future

In the wake of the apocalyptic gloom of Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp was welcomed as a low-stakes and breezy follow-up from the McU, but is it possible that the Peyton Reed-helmed film actually laid some important groundwork for the Marvel franchise’s future?

In an interview with Cbr earlier this week, Reed discussed the Quantum Realm and hinted that there may be more to this mysterious region than initially meets the eye:

“And then I would also say in the Quantum Realm, as Hank and Janet blast their way out of the Quantum Realm in the quantum pod, maybe freeze frame on some of those, and see if you can see anything in the distance in the Quantum Realm.”
