"The Avengers" protects the world from physical dangerous while the sources protects the world from more "mystical" treats. -Decent MCU superhero movie
1 October 2018 | by rambofan4lifeSee all my reviews

It is not that bad people, "Doctor Strange" is not the greatest MCU movie of all time but it is still not that bad either. It is good, solid, decent sci-fi fantasy world about sources and mystical arts. I like the movie, it is good. This movie is in Phase Three in MCU movies and most of those movies suck now days. Sorry fans it is true I only like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming the rest of the movies I hate. Doctor Strange is a solid decent MARVEL origin superhero movie.

Directed was by Scott Derrickson who directed the movie really good. I like the film "Doctor Strange" is exception for me. Is really not my favorite MCU film I am not going to say is better than Iron Man, Ant-Man, Captain America or Spider-Man movies but it is a good movie In my opinion. I enjoyed the film I don't understand what movie did those guys watch?

The movie is about mystic sources who are time traveling both trough time and space. "The Avengers" protects the world from physical dangerous while the sources protects the world from more "mystical" treats. After a freak accident left a selfish, egoistic, arrogant, wealthy, acclaimed neurosurgeon injuring his hands and is impossible to operate his hands back to normal. Desperately Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) goes to Kathmandu, Nepal to Kamar-Taj to see the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) in which she takes him in her care and start teaching him the mystical arts. I must say Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) changes his way in too a good heart person who must protect his world from Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) an ex student now "Master of the Mystic Arts" and the villainous entity Dormammu from destroying our world. The Last stand and battle is in Hong Kong.

Good movie, good story, good effects not a boring movie, special Visual Effects are good. I would say in my opinion I enjoy it more than Inception (2008) Christopher Nolan's movie. The cast worked fine on the film. Benedict Cumberbatch is excellent as Dr. Stephen Strange. I like his performance it has humor his cape makes sometimes funny scenes out of him so yes he is good. Rachel McAdams is really beautiful woman as Dr. Christine Palmer is the actress goddess? because every time I see her in a movie I admire her beauty. She is decent a Strange's Love interest. Benedict Wong as Wong who becomes Strange's friend is a solid guardian and good at his role I like him. Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One is excellent mentor too Dr. Stephen Strange like is Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in Ant-Man. Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius is a perfect bad guy Mads always plays bad guys and he is talented actor he played Le Chiffre in Casino Royale.

I never thought this movie is terrible this is no "Army of Darkness" and does not copy that film it is straight from a MARVEL comic books. It is not a bad-ass, kick-ass film like Captain America, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Spider-Man it is a solid superhero movie about a surgeon who becomes a sorcerer in mystical arts and saves people. Scott Adkins is also in it as Lucian / Strong Zealot who fights with Dr. Strange as ghost while Christine operates Dr. Strange and saves his life from dying.

8 a good score I should have had this movie in my Blu-ray collection but me and my greedy ex supplier had a huge fight in which I had to cancel him and all his shipment permanently. I like this film I enjoy it I will still watch it. Rachel McAdams brings joy and heart in to this movie. I enjoy Benedict Cumberbatch I enjoyed him in Avengers: Infinity War. I did not know that Benedict Cumberbatch voiced Dormammu the villainous entity. Solid, decent science fiction movie about mystical arts and fantasy world I like it. I hope we do get the sequel to this film someday.
