Quotes

Connie: Yes, you hurt him, but this isn't the time to make this all about you! That is not helping! Maybe Steven would care about how sad you are, because he always puts everyone else's feelings first! But he can't do that for you right now, because he needs us this time! We all had Steven when we needed him, but the only person who's never had Steven is Steven. He's always been there for us, so... how can we be there for him now?

If there were ever a perfect episode of this amazing cartoon, this is the one.

I think I cried multiple times. No show has had me this attached to its cast of characters as Steven Universe has, and this episode is where they all come together for our main hero, Steven. The whole series has featured Steven helping everyone else and trying to make the world a better place, but he himself has needed the most help this final season. And it's just so wholesome and heartwarming to watch everyone come together and comfort him. Can't even begin to describe how necessary it was for this to happen. All this time watching the show for years I was thinking Steven very much needed this after all the trauma he'd been through. And it really is the sweetest thing I've ever seen, if you ask me. I can't....... :')

Contrary to what some people are saying, I don't agree this episode was rushed. Or I can say at the very least I've seen much more rushed finale episodes. Perhaps they could've spent more time building up to this and executing it, but I personally felt this episode did not feel like it took more or less time than it needed to wrap things up. In fact if it had been any longer I felt it would've dragged out. Maybe that's just me though

So anyway, I thought this was just a very beautiful episode! I shed many tears personally. It is all the more better to watch if you've seen the series up to this point, but if you see it anyway without context you WILL get some feels out of it. At least I know I would've! :)

I'm glad this perfect show ended when it did. Thank you Crewniverse and THANK YOU Rebecca Sugar for giving us this amazing show! 10/10

This show is amazing, and I hope it'll be regarded as a classic in the coming years. It has absolutely earned that title!

One final note: Addressing many more of the common criticisms of this show, I want to talk about the complaint that the show ends with no real conflict or fight, just an anti-climactic hug. All character development is either done through crying or singing, and the diamonds weren't punished which is BAD.

Yes.....this is Steven Universe. This is the show that spends more time focusing on its main characters and their development than its villains. This is the show that has been preaching an anti-war/pacifist message. No the diamonds wren't "redeemed" nor were they punished. They are literally the strongest beings in the universe, and are not doing harm anymore. What more do people want? Revenge? Look, I understand that people want justice served. I understand this show does not please everyone. No show is going to please everyone in terms of its story, writing, character development, etc. But I think me and most casual fans of the show were satisfied with this. This is what Steven Universe is about: Love, Peace, Acceptance, Forgiveness, etc. This is always what it's been about. This is Steven Universe, a weird show that does things very differently from other cartoons. And that's why it stands out......to me at least.

Remember: If every Pork Chop were perfect, we wouldn't have Hot Dogs! Steven Universe is just that. A Hot Dog in a sea of....well many other choice foods. Not everyone is gonna like Hot Dogs. Not everyone is gonna like Steven Universe. Face it. It is what it is. Steven Universe isn't the best TV series in existence, but still well worth your time if you enjoy character drama. Thank you and have a good day. :)

Lastly, yes I know. It ends with a massive hug. Not very exciting huh? But it's exactly what Steven needed. It's exactly how I hoped this show would end. It's always been about love. If people are still bitter about it ending in such an anti-climactic way......idk what else to say but..........feel the love everyone! If SU has taught me anything, it's to love and accept EVERYONE. Even those who you disagree with. Thank you all for reading, I hope you have a great day and a wonderful life! <3

Thanks for everything Steven Universe. We will never forget you!!! <3 <3 <3
