Ext skatepark > Logan Art Gallery
Ext skatepark made me want to not check my phone for the 41 minutes it was on but also made me want to call my friends and catch up straight after. The film also gets me keen to watch more indie art movies.
Pros: Script. The songs and editing were standouts also. Jordy doing push-ups inside is my favourite scene.
Cons: Logan Art Gallery is closed Sundays.

Incredible authentic story
This film perfectly delivers on its message and does so in a unique and moving way. The art-film elements are perfectly mixed with the narrative and I came away from the film feeling like I had done myself a favour by watching it. The story itself is a simple one, but moving nontheless and the characters are truly authentic, a credit to the acting and Moss' writing. There are so many interesting elements to this film both on screen and behind the scenes and I felt compelled to rewatch it the day after. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an entertaining and genuine story that feels homegrown and affecting.

A fantastic low budget independent artistic film
EXT. SKATEPARK is a refreshing, artistic, experimental short film. It utilises filmmaking techniques such as ratio, montages, music, flashbacks, photographs and symbolism to tell the story of a boy, Jordy, the day before his friend's funeral. Throughout the film we see Jordy spend time with his friends and when he's alone we see him remembering his friend who has passed. One moment in particular involving push-ups is raw and emotional.
EXT. SKATEPARK not only tells the story of Jordy and his friends, it also explores the world of others in this community. The opening consists of images that set the scene for this film, and the montage mid-film explores the world of a local skatepark.
The film is very low budget however it is not such a loss to the film as the creativity and talent of the filmmakers and cast allows this to still be a fantastic piece of independent cinema, telling an important story of friendship and loss.
