When Elizabeth Alexander is sent to asses the storm damage of one of her employer's policyholders, her life will be changed forever. After getting lost, her car gets stuck. When she is befriended by the simple- minded Charley Aycock, she believes that soon she will be back on the road. Her nightmare has just begun. Momma Aycock has raised her slow-witted son Charley on the banks of the Cache River. They live on Charley's trapping and fishing. But Momma is worried. She is aging, and there is no one to take care of Charley after she is gone...and there is his Birthrite to consider. Their home has passed from one Aycock to the next for generations. Charley has no heir. Elizabeth would make the perfect mate for Charley. She is young and beautiful. With just a little training, Momma is sure that she could be the one for Charley...unless she turns out like the others.Written by
OK, I have read EVERY word of EVERY posting and EVERY Review I could find on this movie after watching the entire production. --
Honestly this is NOT a waste of time movie. It is NOT however a "Good" movie -- the acting is just not there (believability), I do however agree that the cinematography is very good. Not one of the actors actually made me feel they were comfortable with their rolls and each had to struggle to acquire their feel....
I only WATCH movies online -- and do NOT download them, but I do give my HONEST opinion of a movie -- so the pirating doesn't pertain to me.
Once again -- the movie is NOT a waste of time -- but not "Good". I gave it a 3 because it actually has some merit and they do not have a 3.5.
I lived in Arkansas for a very long time, and do today, graduated from ASU in '78. It is that beautiful of a place, but the people are NOT that STUPID. There are many intelligent individuals in Arkansas. I did however enjoy the part of -- "Charley" as played by Alex Moody. His was probably the ONLY believable character in the film.
