The film follows the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the governmental negligence that followed. As the sailors fight for survival, their families desperately battle political obstacles and impossible odds to save them.
Boring, predictable, not worthy of such good actors. the script is terrible
This is one of those films that makes one wonder how on earth did this terrible boring predictable dull script get made into a high budget film with 2 great actors like Emile and John Cusack.
There is nothing new or original in this story and it felt more like a low budget tv movie with the common theme of good vs evil but nothing more except to drag us through predictable scenes and character with no real arcs besides the obvious... good man turns to violence as only solution. It is sad to see two terrific actors be involved with a boring 2 dimensional script that was at best a short film that gets dragged on with repeated scenes and plastic characters.
I give it a 3 for the great muddy western sets and 2 main actors.
Never Grow Old should be retitled to "Never Cardboard Script".
