After the Japanese attack, the British army surrenders n they r taken as pow. The Japanese soldiers informs the Indian garrison that since Gandhiji is fighting the Britishers for India's freedom, they too shud join the Japanese against the Britishers. The show does drag a bit regarding the love angle.

Before 1943, the so called soldiers from the film Kesari was not at all fighting for India's freedom. In fact they were helping the Britishers to invade the Northern Territory (Afghanistan).
