I'm giving mucho credit for the success of Wicked's "High School Reunion" to director Mike Quasar's co-writer, the unknown Paula Treconi, as its an intelligent little romantic feature, better than the usual Quasarman production.
Ingenious story premise has roughly 40-year-old folks traveling to attend their high school reunion, with two of the protagonists bringing very young significant others with them as guests. This age difference, combined with the prospect of encountering old flames at the reunion is a very effective springboard to some light dramatics and the requisite XXX romance. This feature after all is issued under the Wicked Passions banner, synonymous with Couples content.
Excellent thesping by the ensemble cast of eight is led by Julia Ann bringing her young lover Tyler Nixon, and Derrick Pierce attending with that hot starlet Whitney Wright. Everyone will be staying with locals Reagan Foxxx and Ryan McLane, with Foxxx introduced memorably post-opening credits vacuuming her home while topless.
Tommy Pistol arrives solo, his wife not accompanying him, and is reunited with old classmate Alexis Fawx, now a famous TV star. All eight are glad to see each other, though the youngsters (Wright and Nixon) feel left out of the understandably nostalgic conversations.
Revelation that Pistol is separated from his wife leads to some unexpected couplings, en route to a happy ending for all. Especially satisfying is the fact that the often annoying actors in the bunch (Pistol and Pierce, tattooists supreme) are on better behavior than usual and give winning performances.
A fine example of balancing the porn content with an engrossing story and empathetic characters, if anyone (besides me) still cares in the Adult genre.
