Trivia
During a torture scene, Bruce Willis comments saying its "the most pain a human can endure before going into cardiac arrest". This was discovered by scientists of Unit 731 (a covert biological and chemical warfare R&D unit of the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II) who experimented with various ways to torture someone without killing them by actually torturing prisoners of war.

Goofs
Kersey doesn't wear gloves and leaves fingerprints all over. The cops never dust for prints.

Crazy credits
When the title is shown on screen, it is faded away by the image of "flatlining" on a medical monitor. This effect is used in the closing credits as well.

Alternate versions
The UK theatrical version was cut by 14 seconds to reduce a torture scene. This was done to earn a 15 certificate after the uncut version originally received an 18. The uncut version was later released on home media formats.
